Musquodoboit Valley Bicentennial Theatre and Cultural Centre is a 230-seat restored heritage building (circa 1928) that serves as both theatre venue and community facility in the heart of the Musquodoboit Valley. Theatre is a Halifax Regional Municipality-owned arts facility, which is supported by HRM and operated by a volunteer Board of Directors. Bicentennial Theatre is home to the annual Kirk Logan Old Time Fiddling Contest and Canadian artist William Gill's 1892 Italianate Garden Scene, a rare piece of restored 19th century stage art which may be viewed on request. Musical entertainment, live theatre, improv, dances, meetings, drama camps and Monday Bingo are all featured in our historic building.
